Plot summary
The film is set in Bengal and revolves around the lives of Dev (Rajeev Pillai), an orphaned boy who is adopted by Guruji (Girish Karnad), a renowned dance teacher who runs a dance academy in Kolkata. Dev is impressed by Guruji's daughter Sanjukta (Sulagna Panigrahi), who is also a dancer, and falls in love with her. However, Sanjukta is attracted to Gambhira (Rajesh Shringarpure), a Chhau dancer who has a hidden agenda. Gambhira is actually a Naxalite, who is on a secret mission to assassinate a politician. Dev tries to warn Sanjukta about Gambhira's true intentions, but she does not listen to him. She secretly marries Gambhira, much to the shock and dismay of Dev and Guruji. After marriage, Gambhira reveals his true colors and tortures Sanjukta and Guruji. He also tries to kill Dev, who escapes with the help of his friends. Dev goes to Himachal Pradesh, where he meets Anjali (Rupsha Guha), a girl who helps him recover from his injuries. Dev decides to return to Kolkata to take revenge on Gambhira and save Sanjukta and Guruji.
