Does having more followers actually boost your Instagram reach?
From what I’ve seen, having more followers doesn’t guarantee reach, but it definitely helps with initial momentum. Like, IG’s algorithm does a small test when you post — and if you’ve got more people seeing it quickly, it has a better chance of snowballing. When I was testing this, I decided to get cheap instagram fans — and even though they weren’t engaging followers, they helped make my page look more “active” to new visitors, which actually led to more comments and real follows.

I’m not sure about the algorithm specifics, but I do feel like there’s a snowball effect once your account looks “legit”. The more active you seem, the more Instagram gives you some spotlight — or at least it feels that way.
