As stated in https://www.republicworld.com/initiatives/the-future-of-gaming-in-india-playstation-xbox-or-mobile, India has indeed seen a huge growth in mobile gaming, and it makes sense considering that almost every person has a smartphone. With mobile gaming, there is no need to connect anything or invest in expensive devices. You can play anytime, anywhere. I, like many others, love mobile gaming because it is great for quick play, like on commutes or during breaks at work. But on the other hand, there is another, deeper aspect. Console gaming like PlayStation and Xbox is a completely different experience. Mobile gaming is mostly short and simple sessions, while console games often have deeper, longer stories that can keep you engaged for hours. I personally have been a big PlayStation player and I have noticed that people in India are slowly realizing the value of console gaming. Of course, this market is still in its infancy in India and has a long way to go to match the Western countries. But given how many people here have started watching TV shows and movies through streaming platforms like Netflix, we can expect console gaming to find its niche. And let's not forget the social aspect. In the West, the console gaming culture is quite strong and many people still play on PlayStation because it is a culture. It is not just a video game, but a community and a social experience.

I think there will always be a place for both mobile and console gaming in India. It’s just that every year there are more and more opportunities. Mobile gaming is really king right now and it will continue to grow because smartphones are becoming more affordable and games are increasingly free or have very attractive microtransaction mechanics. But we must not forget that mobile devices are limited in terms of graphics and capabilities. Many people who have tried console gaming or PC gaming say that the experience is completely different — more immersive, more profound.
