The European Short Course Championship in Copenhagen


Two weeks ago, the Israeli Swimming team took part at the LEN European Short Course Championships, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Five days during which the team jumped into 24 personal events and two relay events.

On the team: Yaakov Toumarkin, David Gamburg, Marcus Schlesinger, Amit Ivri, Meron Heruti, Tomer Frenkel and Dennis Lucktav, led by professional staff: Dave Marsh, Luca Gavriello and Hanan Sterling. The team's successes this time did not include a podium and a medal, but included no less impressive achievements in which four new Israeli records (100 men, 200 men, 50 men's, 100 men's) Times fifth place, fourth place) and three semi-finals. "We have had a good championship, some of the swimmers have scored better than expected and some less, we are stronger and more experienced each competition and we will continue to work hard to achieve our goal of being better, faster and more experienced," said coach Luca Gabriello. .
