"I’m deeply honored to earn the trust of the Olympic Committee of Israel. It is a great privilege to help lead Israeli sports to new heights, even in a complex and dynamic era like the present. The challenges are many and the shoes are big to fill, but Israeli sport continues to prove itself. Together with my colleagues from the various federations and supporting platforms, we will do everything possible to bring Israel to the forefront and expand and deepen the abilities and achievements of our athletes."

The decision was unanimous, following a comprehensive selection process. In the final interview stage, the three invited candidates presented their professional vision according to their “Olympic credo,” a marketing and economic approach to the role and to the Olympic Committee, and strategic directions for the 2028 Olympic cycle.

Three Years Ahead of the 2028 Olympics

The committee noted that Adi Bichman (42) was found to be the most suitable candidate for the position and recommended supporting her through this important process — three years before the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028.

She has also coached competitive swimming teams, worked with the Athena program for promoting women in sports, and managed the sports department of a local municipality.

"Adi Bichman is an impressive professional who has gone through all the significant stages of development that prepare someone for a leadership position in sports. This role demands multidimensional skills and is particularly challenging in light of the many achievements we’ve seen in recent years.

She faces numerous managerial and professional challenges in the upcoming Olympic cycle, while also preparing for the Brisbane 2032 cycle — requiring both effort and resource investment.
