Inge Dekker decided to end her active swimming career
After 15 years of top-level sport, top dutch swimmer Inge Dekker decided to end her active swimming career.
After the Olympic Games in London in 2012, Dekker had already decided that Rio would be her final meet. The entire Olympic cycle was entirely devoted to winning a medal in Brazil. Then last February Cervical Cancer was found, Dekker thought her swimming career was prematurely ended. Now Dekker can say that the achievement of Rio 2016 was one of her greatest achievement

Jonathan Kopelev training in Tenero, Switzerland for the next three month.
Jonathan Kopelev will relocate his training center "Centro Sportivo Nazionale Della Gioventu" for the next three month to Tenero, Switzerland. (Tenero is located on the northern tip of Lake Maggiore).
During these three month Kopelev will compete in the Swiss Swimming Open Championships in Nov 17-19, 2016. Kopelev got to this center through the local coach Luka Gabrilo who become a coach following his career as a notional Swiss competitive swimmer.

Today: Synchronised Swimming In Rio2016
Today marks the start of the Synchronized Swimming events of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. (17:00 ISR Time). Representing Israel are Evgenia Tetelbaum & Anastasia Gloushkov.
They will begin with the Preliminary events of the Duets Free Routine. The team took 12th place at the test event last May in London.

National Israeli Team Swimmer Jonathan Kopelev broke the Israeli National Record in the 50m Backstroke with a superb result of 24.60sec.

Israeli Syncronized Swimmers to train in Florida before Rio Olympics
The Jewish Historical Society of Southwest Florida is proud to be the facilitator of the historic visit of Olympics-bound Israelis to Naples, Florida.
Four exhibitions are planned in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Collier County.
